Logit is looking for an energetic and motivated Information Security Specialist to join our growing company.
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Professional to lead our company’s information security program. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security policies and controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and frameworks, and promoting security awareness throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Establish and enforce security controls to protect company assets.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents, implementing appropriate countermeasures.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to align security initiatives with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards, regulations, and frameworks.
- Conduct internal security audits and assist with external security assessments and audits.
- Maintain security documentation and generate reports for management.
- Develop and deliver company-wide security awareness programs and training sessions.
- Educate employees on best security practices, including phishing, social engineering, and secure data handling.
- Work with IT to ensure proper configuration of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Collaborate with IT to design and implement secure infrastructure, applications, and systems.
- Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
- Ensure encryption, access controls, and identity management solutions are effectively implemented and maintained.
- Assess security risks associated with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Conduct security evaluations and due diligence on third-party solutions and cloud services.
Position Requirements, Experience and Considerations
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT security roles.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with security tools, firewalls, SIEM solutions, vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and incident response procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results driven.
