Halloween Activities

Treats Galore
Half of Canadians are ready with candy bowls in hand, welcoming trick-or-treaters with sweet generosity. If you’re in the Prairies or Atlantic provinces, you’re in luck -58% of folks there are handing out goodies. But if you’re in Quebec, you might want to knock twice -only 34% are joining the candy crazes.
Costumes & Creativity
One-quarter of Canadians are suiting up in spooky (or silly) costumes, proving that Halloween isn’t just for kids. Whether it’s witches, werewolves, or walking tacos, Canadians love a good dress-up moment.
Haunted Homes
One-third of Canadians are turning their homes into haunted havens with outdoor decorations, many of which are reused year after year. In fact, 40% stick with their tried-and-true decor, while half like to add a little something new each season. And for the truly festive, one in ten go all out with brand-new decorations annually. Inside the house, a quarter of Canadians are decking the halls with Halloween flair.
Who’s Celebrating?
Younger Canadians and those with higher household incomes are the most likely to embrace the eerie excitement. Older residents tend to sit this one out, but hey, someone has to stay home and guard the candy.
