Logit is looking for an energetic and motivated Data Services Support Specialist to join our growing company.
This position supports both the Programming and Data teams in a utility role. This position provides the opportunity to learn to program surveys in Voxco, assist with data processing tasks, and develop foundational skills in both areas.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Programming Support
- Learn to program surveys using Voxco, starting with simple projects and progressing to intermediate-level assignments.
- Assist with sample processing, quota setup, and testing for survey projects.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, quality checks, and support project launches.
- Collaborate with programmers to meet deadlines and client requirements.
Data Team Assistant
Support the preparation, review, and delivery of project datasets.
- Apply basic data cleaning techniques and check data files for accuracy.
- Assist in running cross-tabs, creating tables, and generating reports in SPSS, Wincross, and Excel.
- Coordinate with project teams to help ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
- Practice foundational market research data principles, such as respondent privacy, consistency, and transparency.
Documentation & Collaboration
Communicate project status and updates clearly to team members and supervisors as needed.
Developmental Goals
- Progress toward independently programming simple to intermediate Voxco projects.
- Build a working knowledge of market research data practices and software tools (SPSS, Wincross, Excel).
- Strengthen communication and collaboration skills across both roles.
- Demonstrate increased accuracy, efficiency, and accountability as experience grows.
- Develop a foundation for potential advancement to higher-level programming or data positions within the company.
Working Conditions and Environment
- After hours availability as required
- Ongoing support and mentoring from department specific Team Leader
Knowledge & Skills
(Specific skills required once training is complete.)
- Strong Excel, SPSS, Wincross and Decipher capabilities
- Working knowledge of existing data collection software such as Voxco, Decipher would be an asset
- Web programming (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and layout experience.
- Knowledge of Python, Perl and working with large data sets to produce and integrate data across applications.
- Media – video and photo – editing capabilities preferred.
- Coding experience, either through formal coursework or as a personal hobby
